Our commitment
We aim to provide an accessible experience for all visitors and to meet our obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). This website has been designed and built with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
Measures taken
- Semantic HTML structure with a single main landmark and a logical heading hierarchy on each page
- A skip-to-content link as the first focusable element on every page
- Full keyboard operability, with visible focus indicators and no keyboard traps
- Form fields with persistent visible labels and clear, specific error messages
- Text and interface colours selected for sufficient contrast
- Information never conveyed by colour alone
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images; decorative images hidden from assistive technology
- Tap targets sized for comfortable use on touch devices
- Motion reduced automatically when a visitor's device requests reduced motion
- Layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling and remain readable when text is enlarged
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is treated as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-time exercise. We review the site as content and functionality change, and we address barriers as they are identified. Some third-party content embedded in this site, such as the map on our contact page, is outside our direct control; equivalent information is always available in text form.
